Pitch

Palimpsest is a slow driven narrative set in the town of Millfield. Millfield is a regular town, but something feels off. The grass is always a bit too high, street lights hum too loudly, and the townspeople move like puppets, just going through the motions. Nothing changes. Explore, interact, and uncover a fractured narrative through puzzles and the ever changing environment. From AFHORIA, a small indie studio based in Austin, TX.

Description

Palimpsest is a narrative psychological horror game centered on exploration, interaction, and environmental storytelling. Players move through intimate, everyday spaces that gradually become more unsettling. Uncover meaning through observation, repetition, and small changes.

You awaken in a quiet room that feels familiar, but not quite right. Objects can be examined and spaces revisited. As the environment shifts in response to your actions, the line between memory, reality, and perception blurs. Nothing is explained outright; instead, the story is layered beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.

Palimpsest is designed as a quiet, unsettling experience one that lingers after the screen goes dark.
